This play is set in the 1990s in and around the East Los Angeles neighborhood of Boyle Heights.  Hersh, a Polish Jewish holocaust survivor is the Owner of a local factory. Working alongside him in the factory is his son, Josh Horowitz, who is sent by his father to scout out locations near the Mexican border for a new facility. He witnesses profiling of local residents by border agents on an Amtrak train.  A local Vietnam veteran, filled with poetry and the holy ghost, preaches about the injustice. He is profiled along with a young hard-working Mexican woman Jessenia. This sets the stage for the drama which unfolds in the factory in Boyle Heights.
